Memorial Day weekend: Pageant Day!

Hope everyone had a great three day weekend and remembered our soldiers! We had a very busy but fun weekend! Friday night we drove to Harrisburg to Hayley's State Finals pageant and after her judging event saturday morning we drove to Hershey World since it was only 15 mins away. Then Sunday we had the crowning ceremony and drove to Ocean City to spend Sunday Afternoon & Monday on the beach and boardwalk.

The day before the pageant Hayley was sporting her Wrangler's bloomers that her Aunt Mandy bought her so I had to take some pictures, she was teething and cranky so didn't get very many but she sure does look like a little angel when she's sleeping.

The pageant wasn't anything like we expected.. it was supposed to be a natural pageant but yet people still went all out on attire & stuff and put a ton of money into that thing! There was so much competition Hayley didn't hardly stand a chance especially since we didn't go all out on frilly dresses & she also froze when she got in the stage.. she was mesmerized with all the lights and stuff. She still got a big trophy (bigger than her other two) for being a finalist though! I think from now on we will just do local pageants if we are going to do stuff like that because the hardcore state & international pageants are just too much.. some of those people.. bless their hearts! No matter what Hayley decides she wants to do growing up she'll always be our little super star! We still had a great time & enjoyed seeing all the cute babies!
